Chemicals Treated
The chemicals treated at Aerojet’s Groundwater Extraction and Treatment (GET) facilities include volatile organic compounds (VOCs), primarily trichloroethylene – (TCE), perchlorate and N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA).
VOCs are predominantly solvents. Perchlorate is an oxidizer used in solid rocket motors, and NDMA is associated with liquid rocket fuel.
